Welcome to Kivubelt Coffee!

Our coffee is 100% pure high quality Arabica Speciality Coffee grown on the shores of lake Kivu in Rwanda. The high evaluation, the humid equatorial mist from the lake Kivu and the rich volcanic soils emanating from the Virunga volcanoes create an ideal terroir for this unique coffee bean. 

Kivubelt Coffee aims to produce the highest quality coffee using the best sustainable agricultural practices and processing. We own and operate three large farms with more than 90,000 coffee trees and two coffee washing stations in the villages of Murundo and Jarama. We are working closely with smallholders in the region as part of our mission to leverage our coffee expertise for positive social impact.

We founded Kivubelt in 2011 with the vision of vertical integration of production on our own farms and  production of small holders. We are working with the communities around our Washing Stations delivering technical assistance on coffee quality and agronomy and supporting local education and health care initiatives. More than 500 families participate delivering their cherry to our Washing Stations every year and earning additional premiums they did not earn before.
