Solar Street Lights
Solar Street Lighting/Public lighting is worldwide a symbol of modernity. Autonomous solar systems represent a formidable tool for economic and social development, which is addressed to rural areas without access to electricity, peri-urban areas where the electricity network is absent, intermittent, or urban for the sake of energy savings.
SOLEKTRA has demonstrated its experience and a difference in the solar street lighting projects. We participated in different great street lighting projects in Rwanda and partnered with well known Organizations such Practical Action, UNHCR and RDB.

Projects Executed
- In partnership with Rwanda Development Board (RDB), SOLEKTRA has installed Solar Street Lights in Kayonza District-Rwanda
- In partnership with Practical Action, SOLEKTRA has installed Solar Street Lights in 3 refugee camps namely Gihembe, Nyabiheke and Kigeme in Rwanda.
- In partnership with Ministry of ICT and Rulindo District, SOLEKTRA has installed Solar Street Lights in Rulindo District.
